Parents evenings

In light of the huge changes we are facing, we have cancelled the parents evenings for next week. We will therefore be closing at the normal time on Wed 25th March, to further support all our working parents. So there will be no early closure on that day.

Staff will aim to send home a short written report instead, on April 22nd.

The aim of this is to share progress to date, next steps and ways that you can further help your child to make progress.

Thank you once again for all your support during a time when we have had to make some small but significant changes to the way we are running school.

We really do appreciate your cooperation and support.

Winning Cheerleading!

Congratulations to our Cheerleading team today for coming first in the Active Schools Cheerleading competition on Wednesday. They have worked so hard starting in September to prepare a dance routine and today they demonstrated those skills and qualities including physical strength, co-ordination, flexibility, as well as building confidence, self -esteem and team working skills. Thank you to Ciara Patchett who has worked with the children to help them produce such an intricate routine!

We are so proud of you all!

School closed 1st March 2018

Due to worsening conditions, and an unsafe school site,  we have made the unprecedented decision to close school today.

We will continue to monitor the forecast for Friday and keep parents updated via text & email.

We will rearrange our own World Book Day next week. Date to be arranged.

I apologise for any inconvenience the decision has caused and thank you for your support in the matter.

Proposal to Increase Primary School Places within the Alwoodley area

Proposal to increase primary school places within the Alwoodley area

Leeds City Council is consulting on a proposal to expand Allerton Church of England Primary School from a capacity of 420 to 630 pupils by permanently increasing the admission limit in reception from 60 to 90 pupils from September 2018. The consultation period commences on Monday 26 June 2017 and closes on Friday 21 July 2017 at 4pm. During this time we will be having some drop-in sessions at the school for parents, carers and residents to learn more about the proposal and ask any questions they may have. The format of the drop-in sessions is informal, with officers from the Sufficiency and Participation (school place planning), Built Environment and Highways teams in attendance to discuss any queries you may have about the proposals. You may attend any of the drop-in sessions between the start and finish times.
