Making Photograph Frames

Last week we enjoyed making our own photograph frame. After creating the frame, we designed it for someone close to us with a picture of ourselves inside and then had the challenge of designing a stand. Some of us thought we could send it to a relative who we may not see for a while.

Wednesday photos

Week 1 and it’s Wednesday so here are some photos of what we have been up to so far.

Near the end of the day Mr Moore and Ms Hall took a group on an adventure looking for treasure and they found it! There was a very cute fox cub tangled in the football nets. Mr Moore and Ms Hall rescued the cub but not without incident, Mr Moore was bitten! The children went home with big smiles and great news.

When Mr Moore got home Elvis just laughed when he showed him his cut!

If you took home peas and potatoes, make sure you plant them to grow some more!

Scam emails about free school meals

It appears a number of fake emails are circulating with a message similar to the below:

If your child’s school is closed and your child is entitled to free school meals; then to send your bank details to the school and they will help you with funding while schools are closed.

This is a new take on a very old but simple and very effective fraudulent scam. School will never ask you for your bank details via an email – please do not fall for this scam!

Parents evenings

In light of the huge changes we are facing, we have cancelled the parents evenings for next week. We will therefore be closing at the normal time on Wed 25th March, to further support all our working parents. So there will be no early closure on that day.

Staff will aim to send home a short written report instead, on April 22nd.

The aim of this is to share progress to date, next steps and ways that you can further help your child to make progress.

Thank you once again for all your support during a time when we have had to make some small but significant changes to the way we are running school.

We really do appreciate your cooperation and support.

Happy Christmas Building Update!

It has been a super busy term and I wish you all a very happy, peaceful Christmas.

When we return on the 7th January, the Y6 classes will be in the temporary classrooms on the playground.

The preparation work for the new building will be taking place, with the footpath at the back of school being prepared. It does look rather ugly but do please bear with it, as it will all be worth it!

Please do help us by waiting by the correct class sign, at the end of the day. The class will come to you and you can take home from there.

Great Science Share

On Tuesday afternoon some of our pupils took part in the Great Science Share at Tranmere Park Primary School. They were great at showing other children, scientifically explaining what they had been doing, friendly and polite with everyone.  Oscar was brilliant – even trying to explain whilst wearing a space helmet!
